Cheshire buddies are looking for some help. We need a small amount of funding to help with trips and activity sessions over the next few months including days out to Blackpool, trips to chester zoo, trips to the beach, days out on canal boats and train trips,
If you can offer any help please contact a member of the buddies team for a chat. We want to continue the good work that we do at buddies but currently need some help.

WATER SAFETY - STAY SAFE THIS SUMMER

Cold water can kill – even on warm days
☐ Cold water shock can happen suddenly causing panic and loss of breathing control
☐ Even strong swimmers can get into difficulty very quickly
Stay safe near water
X Never jump straight into open water
X Avoid swimming alone – stay with others
X Do not mix alcohol with water activities
X Always supervise children closely
X Follow safety signs and local advice
Know the risks
☐ Water is colder than it looks
☐ Hidden currents or deep water may be present
☐ Edges can be uneven or slippery
FLOAT TO LIVE
☐ Stay calm, control your breathing.
☐ Lean back, tilt your head back, ears submerged and float on your back
☐ Move your hands and legs to stay afloat
☐ Your legs may sink that’s OK

FREE PLACES FOR CHILDREN AND YOUNG ADULTS WITH DISABILITIES!

NUTTY NOVEMBER OFFER – TAKING EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST NOW

We’ve gone nuts with this incredible offer for November. We’re welcoming applications from schools, charities and clubs supporting young people aged 6–25 with disabilities to attend a 2 night stay at Calvert Lakes in November FREE OF CHARGE. Groups must have 12 visitors or more to be eligible for free places.

Your 2 night residential stay will include:

💙 2 nights accessible accommodation
💙 full board meals including hot lunch on arrival day and packed lunch on departure
💙 4 inclusive activity sessions
💙 1 session in our hydrotherapy pool and sauna
💙 Lots of fun!

We have a range of dates available and it's a beautiful time to visit the Lakes. Groups who haven't visited us before will be prioritised and free places are limited. Any accompanying children or adults will be charged a reduced rate of just £250pp.

We had a wonderful visit from Guide Dogs today at Buddies! 🐾

Everyone was delighted to meet Woody, a beautiful Golden Retriever who is currently in training to become a guide dog. Woody was full of excitement and loved meeting everyone – his enthusiasm and friendly nature brought lots of smiles to the group!

A big thank you to Guide Dogs for coming along and sharing more about the amazing work they do. We wish Woody all the best with his training and look forward to hearing about his future adventures! 🦮💛

We’ve just spent six fantastic weeks with our amazing coach Owen at Super 1s, Oulton Park — and what a difference it’s made. Our cricket has gone from strength to strength, and we’ve loved every single session.

A huge thank you to Owen for your encouragement, energy, and expert coaching. You’ve helped make cricket even better for all of us!
