Rivers SPACE

Rivers SPACE The Rivers Resource SPACE for women is both a facilitator and organiser of resources to benefit vulnerable women who need support or guidance.

Reach out for confidential help and connections with women’s resources and voices. Virtual support available. Rivers Resource SPACE aims to offer practical and social help to women wanting to expand their horizons or to get support, encouragement and help from other women, to achieve their dreams and ambitions. One of the aims of the resource SPACE is to maximize the capacity of existing public se

rvice and charity organizations and to add value to the work they are already doing. As such, SPACE will not re-invent any wheels or duplicate any existing activities, but rather act as a sign-post and facilitator to encourage women to get in touch with those they need. Rivers Resource SPACE for women is therefore a contact point and facilitator for women who need access to these services, but who cannot reach them themselves, because of language problems, information accessibility problems or because they lack the confidence or encouragement from those around them, to approach them directly. SPACE seeks to empower women to achieve their ambitions and will also run a series of workshops and events focused on subjects that attract the most interest amongst its networks. Rivers Resource SPACE for women is another step on the way towards building Crawley Women’s Centre. Based in Crawley, West Sussex, [email protected] www.rivers-space.org.uk

What does peace actually look like?

🔵 Women at the table.
🔵 Women taking up roles in leadership.
🔵 Women whose safety is non-negotiable.

Because you can’t build trust, inclusion, or reconciliation without them.

This day, we’re reminded that is only as strong as the women who shape it. 🕊️

Temporary service disruption – phone lines and systems

Due to a national network issue we are experiencing reduced access to some systems and no access to incoming calls.

- All appointments are going ahead as planned
- Phone lines may be unavailable or very busy
- Please use our online services where possible to help us manage demand
- If your enquiry is not urgent, please consider contacting us on another day

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

In response to the continued high levels of Norovirus across our hospital, sustained demand in our Emergency Department, and the challenges we are facing moving patients around the site in line with necessary infection control measures, the Trust has declared a Critical Incident.

Please only use our Emergency Department (ED) for serious or life-threatening emergencies. For all other urgent health needs, consider these alternatives:
- Your GP
- NHS 111 - online or by phone, available 24/7
- Your local pharmacy – expert advice for several ailments through Pharmacy First https://bit.ly/4duHKcu
- Urgent Treatment Centre at Crawley Hospital
- Minor Injuries Units at Caterham Dene, Horsham Hospital and Queen Victoria Hospital
Choosing the right service helps us keep ED free for those who need it most. Thank you for helping us help you.

Escaping abuse takes great courage. Many women arrive at our refuges without even the essentials.

But despite it all, she still manages to make her children smile, knowing that that freedom starts here.

Your donation to Refuge will help us provide emergency supplies to every woman and child so that they feel valued, cared for and at home from the moment they walk through our door.
