After becoming too unwell to work, Andrew turned to The Printing Charity for support.

Today, he's focused on managing his health, supporting his parents and volunteering to help other people facing the same diagnosis.

His advice is simple:

"My message is, don't wait. Reach out now."

Andrew spent many years working in the paper sector before life took an unexpected turn. Now, he's using his experience to support others as a volunteer mentor.

His story is a reminder that you don't have to reach crisis point before asking for help. Whether you're worried about your mental wellbeing, finances or something else, we're here to listen and help you find the right support.

Could a few quiet moments help support your working day?

Mindfulness is about paying attention to the present moment without judgement. At work, that might mean taking a few slow breaths before a meeting, stepping away from your screen at lunchtime, or noticing when your thoughts are racing and gently returning to the task in front of you.

Mindfulness can support workplace wellbeing in three simple ways:

✅ Calm, by helping to reduce stress and anxiety
✅ Connection, by supporting communication and empathy
✅ Focus, by helping people feel more present and resilient

Small pauses can make a real difference.

Our Mental Health Support booklet contains useful advice and practical tips to help you manage stress and support a healthier work-life balance.
