Friends of Buchan Country Park is a volunteer community group supporting Buchan Country Park in West Sussex.

We organise family events, seasonal photography competitions, and fundraising activities to help protect and promote this beautiful country park.

The deadline is fast approaching! 🍁

Get out to Buchan Country Park, capture the beauty of autumn and send us your favourite photo, whether taken on a camera or your phone, all ages are welcome!

🏆 3 category winners will be announced on 8th November, with winning photos being featured in our 2027 calendar, on sale from December.

💚 Calendar sales help fund projects around the park.

We’re on the lookout for new volunteers to join our team and help make a difference at Buchan Country Park!

Whether you’d like to help organise an event behind the scenes, or simply be there on the day to lend a hand with some hands-on help, we really do appreciate every bit of support.
It’s a great way to get involved in your local community and meet new people. Every helping hand makes a difference!

🍁📸 THE FINAL SEASON OF OUR PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION! 📸🍁

Our Autumn Photography Competition is the final season in our photography calendar, completing the four seasons of Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter.
So, whether you’ve been entering throughout the year or this will be your first time taking part, we’d love to see your photographs capturing the beauty of Buchan Country Park in Autumn. 🍂🌳

📷 Three categories to choose from:

🍁 Autumn Colours – Reds, golds, oranges and browns in all their glory.

💧 Reflections – Autumn trees reflected on Buchan’s lakes or in rain puddles.

🦔 Autumn Wildlife – Squirrels, birds, ducks, insects or any other Buchan wildlife surrounded by autumn scenery.

✨ Open to all ages

📸 One photo per category

🌳 Photos must be taken at Buchan Country Park

FoBCP were delighted to meet two of our Summer Photography Competition winners today as they collected their trophies!

Unfortunately, Annemarie Strehl couldn’t join us, as she lives abroad, but her winning photograph was taken during her visit to Buchan Country Park this summer while visiting friends.

It was a very difficult decision for our judges, with so many beautiful and creative photographs entered. A massive thank you to everyone who took part and shared their wonderful views of Buchan Country Park with us. ❤️📷

We’re delighted that the three winning photographs will be featured in our 2027 calendar, which will be available to purchase from the Buchan Country Park Country Centre from December.
