Today, West Sussex Scouts proudly recognised the achievements of young people from Crawley.

We celebrated those who have earned the prestigious Chief Scout’s Gold, Diamond and Platinum Awards, as well as participants completing their Duke of Edinburgh’s Bronze Award. It was also fantastic to see several young people presented with their Young Leader Belt, recognising their dedication, leadership and commitment to supporting others.

An inspiring day highlighting the hard work, resilience and community spirit of our Scouts — congratulations to everyone on their incredible achievements! 👏

🌟 We Need Your Help! 🌟

Do you want to make a difference in your community? Join the Crawley District Scouts as a volunteer and help shape the future of young people in our area! 🌍

Scouting in Crawley relies on dedicated individuals like YOU who can spare a little time each week. Whether you have a few hours or more, your contribution can have a lasting impact.

You don’t have to be Bear Grylls to volunteer! We need tea makers, activity planners, tidy-uppers, and helpers for as much or as little time as you can give. Whether you have an hour or a day, your help is invaluable. This week is National Volunteer week - why not try something new?

We offer 5 amazing sections for different age groups:

Squirrels (4-6 years old)
Beavers (6-8 years old)
Cubs (8-10 1/2 years old)
Scouts (10 1/2-14 years old)
Explorers (14-17 years old)
No prior experience is needed—just a passion for helping young people learn, grow, and have fun. Training and support are provided.

We are looking for more volunteers to join the leadership team in our Explorer Units (members aged 14-17) that meet on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Put your skills to use, learn new ones and play an active role in your local community, guiding Explorers through a fun and exciting programme, where they develop their potential and have the chance to earn Awards including Chief Scout Award and Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards.

Our leaders are normal people just like you, but by working together they make extraordinary things happen! We offer full support and training; you can volunteer with us on a flexible basis.
