In 2016 we celebrated our 19th year of Awards - supporting tomorrow’s future sports stars. The Awards are run in partnership with SportsAid, the charity responsible for funding emerging sports talent in the UK and helping the next generation of British athletes succeed. In 2016, 13 of our previous finalists competed at the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Rio, winning a total of eight medals betwee

n them. Three of our athletes were subsequently awarded MBEs in the New year's Honours. In 2012, 14 former YSP winners represented Great Britain at the Olympics and Paralympics

Since the awards began in 1998, OCS has made sports bursaries of almost £600,000 to over 250 deserving young people and, over the last 30 years, SportsAid has supported in excess of 1,500 able bodied and disabled young sports people each year.
