⭐Calling all new parents! ⭐

If you have welcomed a baby or babies in the past 12 months or have undertaken any SaSH Antenatal Education in the last 2 years, your voices and feedback are needed!!

Over the last few years the offering of the Hello Baby pregnancy classes from SASH Maternity has continued to grow and we want to hear your feedback. Did you get told about the classes? Did you attend any? What was useful? What could have been better? What other classes do you wish were offered? We want to help shape the future of antenatal education for parents and ensure that there is a wide range of topics, formats of learnings, relevant and up to date information for everyone to access.

Follow the link in our bio to complete the survey. Thank you for your time!

After over 3 incredible years ( and more as a volunteer) of having Laura as the Sussex Co-Lead for Surrey and Sussex Healthcare Maternity & Neonatal Voices Partnership, it’s time to say goodbye💜

Laura has been such a passionate advocate for women and birthing people across Sussex, always making sure their voices were heard and reflected in meaningful change. Her dedication, compassion, and determination have made a lasting impact. Anyone who has had the privilege of working alongside her sees her as a totally inspiring colleague, who has made such an impact locally, regionally and nationally, so thank you so much!

The impact of Laura’s hard work, support, and care will continue for a long time across so many areas and we will miss her so much!✨

This week is Black Baby Loss Awareness Week and we are sharing and supporting 11th-17th May.

We know that there are many families who experience loss and that it is important ro recognise the experiences of black families.

We work closely with our bereavement midwife, Anne, who is amazing and she shares many of the experiences of families and how we can make changes to support them.

To any black families that have experienced loss, our thoughts are with you.

Swipe to read some of the comments and feedback on the nominations. Thank you Rachel!

We will be arranging to visit Rachel this week to give her a little gift to say thank you on behalf of the women and birthing people across Surrey & Sussex.

This week is Maternal Mental Health Awareness Week and this years theme is celebrating a decade of raising awareness.

The week is dedicated to talking about mental health problems before, during and after pregnancy.

The week is all about:

⭐️raising public and professional awareness of maternal mental health problems
⭐️advocating for women and families impacted
changing attitudes
⭐️helping people access the information, care and support they need to recover.

The week is organised and led by MMHA member Perinatal Mental Health Partnership UK (PMHP UK) who launched the first-ever UK Maternal Mental Health Awareness Week in 2017.

PMHP UK is a small group of individuals, including parents with lived experience and clinicians, who came together to raise awareness of maternal mental health.

Join us this week in raising awareness.
