Some of today's goings on:
On one table an N gauge kit was being constructed by Colin.
On another, Jonathan was busy adding some letters to an O gauge wagon, painting a cart, and putting chimneys onto his station building.
Having been weathering numerous wagons and adding coal loads in recent weeks today's job was cleaning all the wheel treads of any stray paint. Ian's train consists of 38 wagons, all private owner coal merchants and businesses located in Reading or the surrounding area. The train will be making an appearance at BordersMRC running day next Tuesday in Llandrinio on their test tracks when any minor issues can be sorted.
Also featured in this week's crop of photos is a GWR coach picked up from a bargain box at the recent Stafford Show for a fiver. A metal kit, nicely painted but minus a set of buffers and a coupling (and wheels set to EM gauge)... all remedied at today's session...and another thing... a part of our concrete floor has been disintegrating over the years so has now been sealed and given a final coat of floor paint.
