Last Thursday mornings volunteer crew John, Adrian and Victoria were working with Ross along the driveway and Anne and Theresa were tackling gravel w**ds in the lower garden area.

Hugo joined us for teabreak 🐾❀️🐾

🐿 were as delighted as we all were to have Phillip back on site and up for squirrel-feeding light duties too.

Thanks all for a fun shift!

A misty start to the morning at Crarae

The Autumn colours are starting to pop!

Mysterious goings on in the new folklore and legends trail!

And there's always a ditch!

John and Adrian helped by the newest volunteer pup Hugo dug out ditches!

Meanwhile Victoria, Anne and Frances tidied the beds around the picnic tables.

Brambles!

Neat and tidy!

Last Thursdays volunteer team of Adrian, Anne and Frances, working with the fantastically talented Tara, began to install some very special exhibits.

They will form part of the most recent trail for the gardens!

The woven sculptures have all been created by a team of local volunteers and school children. We can't wait to see everything in place.

Industrial Archaeology! This mornings volunteers (Adrian, Frances, Victoria and John) continued clearing the footings of the old greenhouse. Years of detritus, dumped chippings, ferns, and saplings, plus a random layer of w**d suppression material were all dug up and barrowed away. Rebecca found a very deep hole! We uncovered the central aisle and raised the canopy of the oak tree. Hugo came to inspect the works. He's 3 months old today!

We will continue to tidy the area up and the gardener team plan to create a space to showcase some annual pots with possibly a little stumpery/fernery along the shaded side.
