After its outing at Market Deeping Model Railway Club show at Stamford the permanent way gang was instructed to replace one a troublesome point that appeared to be causing incidents of derailing. They have made good progress with the new point now in situ together with a couple of lengths of adjoining track. Pleased to say that successful test transitions have been made and installation of sleepers and ballasting is scheduled for the next shift.

Well that’s a wrap on Cranwell expresses first exhibition. Back in the club house having a rest. Thank you to Colin, Barry, Ross and Eddie for helping run the layout this weekend. Dennis for coming to support both the show were attending and the club. Feed back from other exhibitors and visitors has been incredible. Thank you to all the members who helped with the construction of the layout and pulling together to get the layout ready for the show. Amazing work by you all and as chairman can’t thank you all enough for your hard work, dedication, time and effort to achieve what we have so far. Thank you to all who follow and support the club in all we do, whether it’s thru here or visiting us.

We did manage to run trains on Cranwell Express today at the Market Deeping Model Railway Club Stamford Show. Some times they even ran relatively smoothly not bad for a first stab at an exhibition layout on its first non club outing. Here is a short video of one of the more successful runs.

Just a couple of more hours left at the club tomorrow night to get all the gremlins from the track so we don't have to employ the dreaded 'hand of god' too much whilst exhibiting at the Market Deeping Model Railway Club show at Welland Academy, Stamford on 9/10 May.

Buildings are all scratch built from foam board with Scalescenes prints for the exterior.

Looking forward to seeing and talking to lots of you about the layout over the weekend. We wont bite if you speak to us.
