3 of our ex-Scouts, along with a friend from Guildford, took part in Cumbria Scouts' Operation Dragnet this weekend. A 70+km unsupported hike through the Lake District as one of 50 teams competing to get back to base as close to 11am on Sunday morning as possible. To spice it up a little, there are 40 catchers out in the hills trying to take 1 of their 4 lives away from them! Although our team didn't complete the walk, they still did over 50km in the first 24 hours, an epic achievement for a novice team in some fairly grim weather! Some of them are planning to come back next year đŸ˜‚
