🎁 Elfridges: A Big Thank You! 🎁

We clearly love a challenge… so naturally we thought it was a great idea to squeeze Elfridges in between the Christmas Fair and serving refreshments at next week’s Nativities. Festive madness at its finest, but we pulled it off!

Thank you to everyone who booked their children into Elfridges yesterday. We honestly think we enjoyed it just as much as they did! The excitement levels were sky-high as they came in to choose gifts for their grown-ups, decorate their labels, and design wrapping paper that Picasso himself would be proud of.

A massive shout-out to our amazing team who did all the shopping, and to the volunteers who wrapped 500+ presents. Yes, 500. At this point we’re seriously considering adding “professional elf” to our CVs. A huge thanks to the extra Elfs that joined us on the day to keep everything running smoothly.

We left one gift unwrapped so the children could see what they were picking… although quite a few still proudly told us the presents were for them. Fair enough — they chose well! 😂

Thanks again for all your support, we hope you love your surprise gifts as much as the children loved choosing them!

💛 A Huge Thank You to Our Incredible Volunteers 💛

Now that we have shared our thanks to everyone who supported the Fair, it is time to thank the people at the heart of it all… our volunteers.

To every parent, carer, grandparent, member of staff, friend of the school and child who helped on the day and in the lead-up… thank you so much. Your time, enthusiasm and kindness made the entire day possible.

From setting up the grotto, decorating the hall, setting up our stalls, stringing lights, running the games, serving food and drinks, helping children at the stalls, selling tickets, keeping things flowing and staying behind to tidy up… every single one of you made a difference.

We would also like to thank the wonderful supporters from outside our school community, including family members who stepped in to run the kitchen, tombola, raffle and stalls. Your help meant the world to us!

A special thank you goes to our tiny-but-mighty PTFA team who spent hours planning, preparing, organising and pulling everything together. So much work goes in behind the scenes and we could not be prouder of what was achieved.

To every helper, supporter and pair of hands, big or small:

We want to say the biggest thank you to everyone who donated to help make our Christmas Fair such a success.

Thank you for the fantastic tombola donations sent in for our non-uniform day. The range of gifts and treats was brilliant, and everyone absolutely loved the Tombolas! Your generosity helped make these stalls some of the most popular of the day.

We received an incredible selection of raffle prizes this year. The kindness of local businesses and supporters means so much to us, and every donation helps raise valuable funds for the children at Cragside. We were so lucky to have two incredible performances helping bring extra sparkle to our Christmas Fair this year!

💖 Little Gems School of Dance
A huge thank you to Little Gems School of Dance at The Studio for bringing so much joy, energy, and festive fun — not just with their fabulous dance performance, but also with their brilliant characters Olaf and the mischievous elf!

Thank you to Rosalyn, one of our very own Cragside mums, whose beautiful singing filled the hall with the most perfect festive atmosphere. Her voice truly brought the Fair to life!

🎄 What an incredible day we had at our Christmas Fair last Saturday! 🎄

The school was absolutely buzzing with excitement, laughter, and that wonderful festive sparkle from start to finish.

One of the biggest highlights was, of course, the reindeer! 🦌
The children’s faces said it all as they fed and stroked him. Thanks to Rent A Reindeer Ltd for being so professional. Even though the snow machine couldn’t run as often as we hoped, when it did appear it brought a lovely touch of winter wonderland fun. ❄️

Inside, our volunteers transformed the library into the most beautiful Santa’s Grotto. North East Santa was out of this world! Fun, patient, kind, and taking time to chat with every child. 🌟❤️

The turnout was absolutely fantastic — so much so that we ran out of chips in the first hour! 🍟😅
Families enjoyed the stalls, games, treats, reindeer visit, and the festive buzz all afternoon.

💛 A huge thank you to Cramlington Town Council for awarding us a grant that helped keep prices low so that more families could join in. We are incredibly grateful for their support.

✨ Thank you to every single person who came along — whether you shopped, played games, enjoyed food and drinks, fed the reindeer, visited Santa, or simply joined us for some festive fun… you made the day as magical as it was. ❤️

🎄 Update — Our Magical Grotto Is Moving Indoors! 🎅✨

After last night’s wild weather, Santa’s Grotto and our Winter Wonderland experience will now be indoors and it’s going to be every bit as magical!

We’re already transforming the space with lights, decorations and plenty of festive sparkle to create the perfect cosy Christmas atmosphere.

Everything else for the Fair remains exactly as planned, including the real reindeer, stalls, games, food and all the festive fun you’re expecting.

The Fair is on 12 -4pm and the Reindeers are here 12-3pm.
