🏡 Sharing Funding News: Scottish Government's First Homes Fund Launching Soon 🏡

The First Homes Fund is set to open by the end of June, offering a £10,000 contribution towards first time buyers' deposits to help get people onto the property ladder.

✅ Available to all first-time buyers
✅ Properties valued up to £300,000
✅ Shared-equity scheme

The first phase is expected to support 2,000 households in the first 100 days, with an ambitious goal of helping 50,000 buyers during this Parliament.

Work Placement Shoutout 👏

A big thank you to Craig Fahey for his brilliant work during his placement with us last week!

Craig showed great initiative—checking his understanding and happily taking on new tasks. He supported MESS by listing items on Vinted and used his knowledge to sort DVDs and CDs into genres and categories.

Out in the field, Craig helped with a bird survey, planting seedlings, and removing Sitka spruce at Ardura—all with enthusiasm. He showed a good awareness of site issues while out and about.

Craig gained valuable insight across the organisation too from helping with social media, visiting sites with our housing officer, and learning more about the breadth of projects MICT is involved in from our Finance and Fundraising team.

Fantastic effort, Craig—well done! 🌟
