From Tuesday 1 July 2025 Penalty Charge Notices (PCN), or parking fines as they’re more commonly known, will go up to £100 across Fife.

This is an increase of £40. However, if you pay within 14 days, the £100 charge will be discounted to £50.

Motorists can receive a PCN when they break parking regulations, examples include, but aren’t restricted to:

· Parking on double yellow lines
· Parking within School ‘Keep Clear’ areas
· Parking in loading or disabled bays

Christmas may be over but the dark nights and cold weather mean some people can still find it difficult to get out and about, meaning isolation can be a real problem.

This winter, there's plenty of groups to socialise with a warm cuppa, hot meal and some activities to keep you occupied! ☕️

Check out the Fife Warm Welcome spaces around the town, including our new group at Trinity Church on Friday's! 👍🏼

Do not go without a Christmas Dinner on the big day, this place with will welcome you from 12 noon. enjoy. If you are not sure where it is, it is on the site of the old Mines Workshop.

🤶🎄WE'RE OPEN CHRISTMAS DAY🎄🎅

The Hub will be opening on Monday the 25th as normal despite being 🎅 Christmas Day 🎄. Our opening times will be 12 noon until 5pm.

If you are in need of a Christmas meal, warmth, company, some festive spirit or just a blether, know that our doors are open.

You also have the option to collect our ready meal Christmas dinner if you’d rather eat at home.

Colin Sneddon and his lovely other half Nicola will be there for a helping hand and a blether, as well as Mario and Maria from the Knights of St Thomas who are traveling up from down south to lend a hand. Our caring volunteers will be there helping serve up some delicious food. If you would like to come but do not have transportation then let us know as we may be able to help with this too.

Firstly can on behalf of Cowdenbeath Foodbank Thank the Public for there kind donations and also our Bag Appeal got reasonable donations of bags handed into us tonight so big Thank You BUT dont STOP YES DONT STOP HANDING BAGS IN WE NEED THEM CONSTANTLY like i always say no bags Foodbank cannot help with food parcels
