So we teased you earlier about three new roller blinds we would like for the village hall. We wanted to compliment our new uPVC windows with new roller blinds, we have four ordered but wanted the other three windows with images of Cowbit to be represented on the actual blinds.
So we are asking if you have any images that would be suitable (e.g Cowbit Wash, The Church etc). Then post on here the photo's and I will try and get all of our committee to whittle them down to about half a dozen and then open it up to the Cowbit Village Facebook Group to decide on the best three. I will put an example of our own personal roller blind from the Lake District as an example and an image of mine of Cowbit Wash when it was flooded, that Claire and I have on a canvas print. Thanks Marcus.

Wow, what a turn out for our pub quiz tonight, thanks everyone for attending, hope you all had a great night. The money raised will go to some new roller blinds that will be personalized with images of Cowbit. More on that this week 🤔. Many thanks to our Committee members Adrian, Chris, Steve and Claire, without them it would not work. We had a lot of newbies and hopefully they will return for the next one, and we had our regulars. Claire will have a good day tomorrow as I won't be able to speak, because of microphone duties tonight. Thanks also to those that donated raffle prizes and especially Colin at Cowbit Village Stores for his donation of prizes. Thanks again all, Marcus, Chairman.

There will be no Tea @ 2 or Post Office tomorrow Tuesday 2nd June due to new windows being fitted at the village hall.

Good afternoon everyone, this will mainly be aimed at the residents of the village who have been here for a good few years. But we have had South Holland Heritage Network asking for "then and now" photo's of Cowbit, Weston and Weston Hills. So for example an old picture of The Dun Cow in Cowbit as a "then" and a photo of the current buildings as a "now".

Each photo to have a short text description and to show copyright or credit information. The dates don't have to go back as Victorian necessarily, but even as far back as the 1980's could be classed as "then".

If you know anyone in the Weston and Weston Hills areas who can help please let them know of this request. These will be uploaded on to the Heritage website and hopefully they can be displayed locally too along with others from the South Holland area.

For more information on how to go about getting photos to them, email [email protected].

They are after around six for each village but it really doesn't matter if we get more. Especially for Cowbit, as the village hall will gladly have an exhibition of any photos for a weekend and open the hall for all to visit and view.

Thanks
Marcus (chairman) Cowbit Village Hall.

The new Cowbit Village community hub is today, anyone and everyone is welcome to pop in for refreshments and a chat. Sue and Cheryl will be pleased to welcome some of our younger community too, so if you happen to be a stay at home mum or dad, please message a few of your friends and meet up for a natter. The children will be most welcome too.

Between 2-4 the ladies are aiming this time for the senior citizens group who originally met on Tuesdays, but recently have been meeting on Fridays. But it is now back to Tuesday's, both the community hub and senior citizens will be on the second and fourth Tuesday's.

We have a new community hub coming up soon in May, this is a new initiative being organised by Sue and Cheryl and they hope to attract a few people who are about from 11am. Possibly some of the younger parents within the village would like to meet up with their youngsters if they have any at home.
The senior citizens group will now run on these days from 2-4pm, the Fridays were not so popular, so it's moving back to Tuesday's as per poster. We would like to thank L*z and Marie Carrick for their help over the years with the senior citizens group.
