Grubngabclub-Coventry Open Christmas

Directions Website Contact the organisation

Grubngabclub-Coventry Open Christmas The Grub & Gab Club is a voluntary organisation that provides free hot breakfasts and a social supermarket at St Barnabas Church, every Saturday.

Coventry Open Christmas provides shelter and food to the homeless and lonely over Christmas. During Christmas 1991 it was recognised by one of our founders that there was a real need for a shelter for the homeless who were arriving in Coventry simply to get a meal at Holy Trinity Church. The very next year the Coventry Open Christmas shelter opened its doors for the very first time, as a β€˜one night only’ project. This proved to be a roaring success and so much so that it has now grown from those very humble origins to a shelter that is now preparing to open its doors again this Christmas.
