Finham Women's Institute usually meet at 10am on the 3rd Monday of the month at St. Martin in the Fields Church in Finham. However, this month at 10am on Monday 19th February we will be meeting at Cheylesmore Community Centre. Our guest speaker is Felicity Howatson, a former ecclesiastical embroiderer with a talk entitled "My Grandmother's Workbox" which she will be bringing with her, together with three generations of embroidery work. So if you had been thinking about joining a WI or would like a taster of what it is about, please come along on the 19th, you will be most welcome. You don't have to live in Finham to be a member. There is a £5.00 visitor fee; however, there are also a limited number of free taster session invitations available to pick up from Cheylesmore Library during opening hours (The Women's Institute is a national organisation open to all women over 18).
