🌟 Our Energy Champions are all smiles as they start their Fairer Warmth App training today! 😊

Today marks the beginning of an exciting learning journey as our team develops new skills and knowledge through the Fairer Warmth App training.

The platform helps households improve energy efficiency, reduce energy costs, and access financial support, grants, and local services. By expanding their expertise, our Energy Champions will be even better equipped to support residents across our communities.

It's wonderful to see so much enthusiasm in the room. Everyone is smiling, engaged, and ready to learn, knowing that this new knowledge will help them make an even bigger difference for the people they support 💚💡

Supporting Our Volunteers Beyond Volunteering!

At Coventry Community Energy Champions (CCEC), we are committed to helping our volunteers develop the skills and qualifications they need to move towards future employment.

Many of our volunteers are taking part in energy efficiency training and courses, and through our Digital Inclusion and CovConnect projects, we are also able to provide additional digital support to help them succeed.

Today, Million received a MiFi device and 12 months of free internet access, which will support him in completing the qualifications and training needed to improve his employment prospects in the future.

We are proud to support our volunteers on their journey, helping them build skills, confidence, and opportunities for the future. 🌱💡💻

🌟 Welcome to the Team, Hani! 🌟

We are delighted to welcome Hani to the WATCH Centre team and the Coventry Community Energy Champions project!

Hani joins us as an Energy Champion Project Officer and brings a wealth of professional experience in organisational, political, and administrative work. Prior to joining us, Hani worked as a diplomat in Yemen, developing valuable skills in communication, collaboration, and community engagement.

Hani is an Arabic speaker and will play an important role in supporting and engaging Arabic-speaking residents across our communities, helping us ensure that our services are accessible to everyone.

Please join us in giving Hani a very warm welcome. We are excited to have him on board and look forward to the knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm he will bring to the project.

As ever, it was great to welcome the team from NEA (National Energy Action) to discuss our work and how we can best work together. Thank you for your time!

On the left of the photo is all-round amazing person Andy, who in addition to the time he spends volunteering as a CCEC trustee, also does great work at NEA as his day job.
