One Voice is so very saddened to learn the news of Seb Farrall’s passing. Many of our members had their first experience of singing with an orchestra as part of the huge choir for the City of Culture Festival Chorus. An event which simply would not have happened without this wonderfully talented and generous man.
The joy Seb brought to our hearts will reverberate long and harmoniously throughout the City of Coventry. Our thoughts, prayers and wishes are with Seb and his family and we hope some comfort can be taken from the love and respect in which Seb is held by so many who had the good fortune to sing with him.
It is with the heaviest of hearts that we have to announce that our incredible maestro, Seb Farrall, has passed away after a tragic cycling accident last week.
Terry Pratchett wrote that “No one is finally dead until the ripples they cause in the world die away, until the clock wound up winds down, until the wine they made has finished its ferment, until the crop they planted is harvested. The span of someone’s life is only the core of their actual existence.”
Well Seb, the ripples you caused are mighty waves crashing on a thousand of our shores, the delightful wine you created will be fermenting forever in the music we made with you and will undoubtedly make in the future, and the crops you sowed so widely, freely and selflessly could feed a nation.
Our thoughts and love are with Seb's family and friends as we all process this shared grief and love of a truly wonderful man. You will be deeply missed.
