2026, we're up and running with many projects and programmes scheduled - Family Fundays, Laugh & Chat sessions, Chat Nuff podcast, Ah FI WI Bizniz magazine, Windrush Awards & Celebrations, Black History month activities, launch of the ACT Community Library and Kids' Christmas parties.

We have also started our "One Love - One Fund" fundraising programme.

We are aware that many families are struggling to find the extra funds for special Christmas activities this year.

So, we have reached out to some local companies and asked for their support for children to attend our afternoon party session.

We have received funding for 10 children to attend our afternoon session on Saturday 20th Dec, 3.00pm - 6.00pm.

We'll be operating a system of "first come first served". So get calling.

18 days ago, 28th October 2025, hurricane Melissa hit the shores of Jamaica and left total devastation.

ArawaK Community Trust and the Coventry & Warwickshire Community have come together to help those in need.

The New Coventry Caribbean Association Limited have arranged a fundraising dance and act as a Collection Hub for donations.

Nally's Jamaican Jerk Grill are taking donations of goods in the Leamington area

Mackabee Crew are managing a collection day

Simmer Down Restaurant are organising a fundraising weekend

Stoke Heath CC are acting as a collective hub

Our joint activities demonstrate the love and unity of our communities and we embody the Jamaican motto, “Out of many, One people”.

Its been 6 days since hurricane Melissa hit the shores of Jamaica and left her devastation across the island.
The majority of the Arawak Community Trust team have family and friends in the island so we are invested in helping to get help and support to those left with NOTHING to keep them safe, healthy and fed.

We have family on the island and they are fortunate to live in an area, Spanish Town, where "Melissa" didn't leave too much of an impact.

Through fundraising (to which we have contributed) and a determination to do something, they've been out and bought some essential goods, loaded up a couple of vans and headed off to St Elizabeth to hand out some assistance.

In partnership with JLB Shipping Ltd, we continue to do our bit by acting as a collection hub for goods and funds at our offices at 161 Broad Street, Coventry, CV6 5BN.
