Will you be discovering hidden trails, and breathtaking views, by joining us on our annual pleasure ride❓️

📆 Saturday 12 September at Glen Down Farm, The Howe

Set off with friends, or on your own, across rolling countryside, your horse's ears pricked as you follow tracks through open fields and take in sweeping views across the south of the island.

Our pleasure ride offers the chance to escape the everyday and enjoy miles of beautiful riding through landscapes that are rarely accessible to horse riders.

Returning for its seventh year, this much-loved route will take you on a 10km adventure across a mix of fields, tracks and private land, offering a unique opportunity to explore parts of the island that are normally off limits.

Whether you're riding with friends or simply enjoying quality time with your horse, it's a chance to slow down, soak up the scenery and create memories from the saddle. Every rider who completes the route will receive a commemorative rosette to mark the day.

We're incredibly grateful to the local landowners who make this special event possible, helping us open up fantastic riding opportunities while supporting the BHS Ride Out UK initiative and its work to improve off-road equestrian access.

We were so excited to share this route with you again, that we just couldn't wait until Friday to release the ticket sales, so they are live now...❗

This is our seventh annual pleasure ride and because people enjoyed the route so much last year, our hosts have kindly agreed to let us re-run the same route this year. The 10km route covers a mix of terrain over fields and tracks, and two very short sections of the A31.

Showcasing breath-taking views over the south of the island, and with much of the route on private land, this ride provides a unique opportunity to enjoy an area not normally accessible to horse riders.

⏱It should take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours to complete and marshals will be on-hand to guide you around the route. Start time slots are from 10am to 1pm. We will be setting riders off at five minute intervals during your chosen time slot. Maximum six riders per time slot. The course closes at 3.30pm. Every rider who completes the course will receive a rosette.

🎫Tickets: £16 per person.

We are very grateful to local farmers, in particular Pete Kelly of Cregneash, Will Qualtrough and the Caine family, for allowing the ride to access their land.🫶

The event supports the BHS Ride Out UK initiative, which provides funding for projects which open and/or enable safe off-road equestrian access.
