I've been married to this man for 37 years - he told me a lot of his story when we first met, and I have lived with the severe effects that the traumas of his life has had on him and those around him. But I am left speechless by this book! I started reading the manuscript a few days ago - waiting for him to 'finish' and so read it like I would any other. I'm an avid reader of fiction and (auto)biography - and yet this has left me breathless! Whilst I could never be a writer I am one who has a critical eye and mind for the narrative flow and I am stunned by the descriptive vocabulary - in fact the vocabulary at all (from someone who doesn't even have a GCSE English!) - the flow, the insight, the research....
