School teaches children to fear being wrong and trying because the consequences of our mistakes impact our social standing and sense of self. Instead of being celebrated for the wondrous difference that makes us unique, we are shamed for what makes us special. ~

This is a short survey being run by a research assistant to Lord Crisp in collaboration with the Open University, exploring why families are choosing elective home education and flexi-schooling, and what support they would find most useful.
The deadline is Monday 4 May, we’re keen to increase responses and would really appreciate your help in sharing it with your networks. The findings will help inform policymakers and highlight lived experiences and best practice within home-educating and flexi-schooling communities.
