This week we pray for our partners in Patripul, a slum near Mumbai, India, and the children they serve.

Please pray for:
• safety, progress and provision for vulnerable children attending our partners’ GCare Centres
• secure employment and better housing for struggling families
• wisdom and favour for director Simon, and managers Manisha and Mahendra, as they advocate for Dalit children with families, schools and authorities
• protection for the centres and their work from higher caste opposition.

*Jaali's life has been marked by hardship. Living with his mother and younger sibling, his family faces daily challenges after domestic violence led to his parents' separation. With little income and limited resources, providing life's essentials is a constant struggle.
The difficulties Jaali has experienced affect both his emotional well-being and his education. Through the support of Spurgeons Academy, Jaali receives guidance, counselling, a daily meal, school essentials, and the opportunity to learn in a safe and nurturing environment.
Thanks to child sponsorship, children like Jaali can access the support they need to thrive despite challenging circumstances.

Fourteen-year-old *Bale has sickle cell disease and was unable to walk for many years due to painful joint swelling. Before joining the Disability Community Outreach (DCO) project, he spent most of his time at home and relied on family members to carry him. Through the project, Bale received a wheelchair, physiotherapy support and access to medication. Today, he can move around independently, attend school, and has new hope for the future.

Our vision is to see marginalised children thrive.

Across the communities where Global Care works, children with disabilities often face some of the greatest barriers to escaping poverty. Limited access to healthcare and education, mobility challenges, stigma, and discrimination can make life especially difficult for both children and their families.

Thanks to a generous gift left in a former supporter's will, Global Care recently funded a disability assessment in Zambia to help our partners better understand the needs of children with disabilities and explore new ways of supporting them.
This important work is a powerful reminder of the lasting impact that gifts in wills can have, helping us develop new initiatives and rewrite futures for vulnerable children for years to come.
