Media Mania is a multimedia organisation that specialises in engaging projects across communities working with special interest groups. The company is made up of a group of talented individuals involved in working in the creative industries. They have a wealth of knowledge and experience working with young people and communities. What a night. ❤️

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us on Saturday for our final Harmonikz celebration, whether you performed, spoke, supported an artist, got involved in the open mic or came down to enjoy the music.

Seeing the room full of people connecting, performing and supporting each other reminded us exactly why Harmonikz has meant so much over the last few months.

We’re incredibly proud of every artist who took part in the project and of the compilation album that was shared for the first time on the night. Watching people’s reactions as they heard the finished tracks made all the hard work worthwhile.

We’ve got plenty more photos  to share over the coming days, but for now, thank you for being part of it and helping us give Harmonikz the send-off it deserved.

Who’s joining us? 

Tonight we finally celebrate everything Harmonikz has been about over the last few months and honestly, the room is going to be full of some very talented people.

We’ve got live performances, DJs, open mic, networking and the first listen to the Harmonikz compilation album, alongside a £500 recording opportunity for one local artist or band!

A lot of friendships, collaborations and tracks have come out of this programme already, so tonight feels like a really good way to bring everyone together one last time.

Some of these tracks started as random jam session ideas and now they’re part of a full project with artists who’ve grown so much over the programme, and we couldn’t be more proud!

Recording music properly is expensive.

Once you start looking into studio time, working with a producer, getting tracks mixed and everything else that comes with putting music out properly, the costs build up fast. A lot of artists already have the ideas and the tracks ready to go. They just need the opportunity to take things a bit further.

That’s why at our final Harmonikz event, we’re giving one local artist or band £500 towards a recording session with a producer.

Across the night we’ll also have live performances, DJs, networking, open mic and the first listen to the Harmonikz compilation album, with loads of local artists and creatives all in the same room.

No plans Saturday afternoon? We’ve got you covered!🪘

12-1pm, Fargo Village

We’re joining Rooted In Coventry at Fargo Village - a day festival to celebrate Coventry’s creative scene. We’ll be learning some simple drumming techniques, making music together, and mapping out Coventry’s music scene.

We need your brain to help us map the Coventry music scene - your ideas and input will be written into a book being released this summer!

Violeta has been part of Media Mania for 8 years and even volunteers with us now ❤️

By the sound of it, she really enjoyed being part of Harmonikz, especially the open jam sessions where we’d create a completely different track every week.

That’s what made the sessions so fun. You never knew what was going to happen when everyone got in the room together, but somehow something always came out of it.

Big love to Violeta for being part of the journey for so many years 🫶
