Urban Goodies Christmas Appeal

This Christmas, Urban Goodies will be delivering Christmas dinners to our members, and we need your help to make them extra special.

Some of our members struggle to afford food for their families during a normal week, so Christmas can bring even more financial pressure. We want to take some of that burden away by providing a Christmas dinner they can enjoy together.

We are asking the public, local businesses and sponsors for support.

Financial donations are our biggest priority as we need to buy the food for our Christmas dinners from supermarkets. Every pound donated will help us make a real difference to families who need it most.

We are also looking for donations of non perishable festive extras, such as Christmas crackers, boxes of chocolates, selection boxes, biscuits and other Christmas treats. Unfortunately, we cannot accept fresh food donations.

If you would like to make a financial donation, please message me directly for our bank details. Businesses interested in sponsoring or supporting our appeal are warmly encouraged to get in touch.

Every donation, big or small, will help us make Christmas a little brighter for our members and their families.

Please share and help us spread the word.

Thank you for supporting Urban Goodies and our community this Christmas.

A day in the life of running Coventry's only surplus food delivery service, all food provided is bespoke, worth over £50 per bag and delivered straight to your door.

Everything we do is voluntary; we believe that no one should go without nutritious food whilst the fat cats put their prices up!

All support, sponsorship & food drives go directly to the people who need it most. Ask us today how you can help support us, tell your employers about us, your friends, this is how community works.

Happy Saturday everyone!

It's such a joy this time of year thanks to the Belgrade Theatre to be able to nominate our members and their children to go see the pantomime.
For some it will be their first time seeing the magic live on stage and we are truly thankful to all concerned who organise this.

Behind our public business page is our private members’ community, where the real impact becomes visible. We share valuable, up to date information, food discoveries and experiences, alongside wonderful reviews from the people who know us best.

For five years, we have worked hard to build something truly valuable: trust, loyalty and a deep understanding of the people we serve.

Every single one of us volunteers. We give our time, energy, knowledge and commitment because we believe in what we do and the difference we can make.

We know food. We understand nutrition, cooking and the different needs of individuals and families. We don't simply fill parcels with unwanted tins or piles of calorie laden products and call it support. We carefully consider what we provide, recognising that a single person and a large family have very different needs, tastes and circumstances.

One size does not fit all. Our approach is personal, informed and bespoke.

Too often, traditional food aid can feel transactional and impersonal. We believe people deserve better than being treated as numbers. They deserve choice, quality, dignity and respect.

Our members' loyalty, their reviews and their continued engagement are testament to the hard work we put into making every person feel valued. That trust has been earned over five years, one relationship at a time.

For funders, Urban Goodies represents more than food distribution. It is about sustainable food rescue, reducing waste, understanding nutrition, offering genuine choice and creating a service that listens to the people it supports.

Our private members’ community demonstrates the real value behind our work: the knowledge we share, the feedback we receive and the relationships we continue to nurture.

Our members' loyalty speaks volumes. Five years of trust, dedication and personal service is something we are incredibly proud of.

URBAN GOODIES: GOOD FOOD. LESS WASTE. REAL CHOICE. HUMAN DIGNITY. COMMUNITY IMPACT.

At Urban Goodies CIC, we’re proud to be getting affordable food directly into our community every single week. Our food doesn’t sit stockpiled in warehouses. It goes straight out to people who need it.

The demand is growing, and we’d love to be able to reach even more people.

If you’re a local business, community group or individual who would like to support us, we’d be incredibly grateful. Sponsorship doesn’t have to mean money. Even donating food can make a real difference.

Every contribution helps us keep our bags at £10 and continue getting good food out to local families and individuals.

40+ enquiries in one week shows there’s a real need for what we do.

Thank you to everyone who supports Urban Goodies CIC and helps us keep making a difference in our community.

If you’d like to get involved or sponsor us, please get in touch.

WE’RE BACK ON THE ROAD — AND WHAT A WEEK!

After two weeks off, Urban Goodies is back, with over 150 people receiving our food bags this week alone.

The break was challenging financially, but we used the time positively; planning, applying for new funding and looking at how we can make Urban Goodies even stronger.

We’re a small, grassroots organisation run entirely by volunteers, without the level of funding and resources available to some other food hubs across Coventry. Yet week after week, our volunteers continue to make a real difference.

We’re feeling incredibly positive about the future and we currently have a few spaces available for new members too, so please get in touch if you’d like to join us.

And if you’re a funder or business looking to support a grassroots organisation making a direct impact in Coventry, we’d love to hear from you.

150+ people in our first week back and we’re just getting started!
