Coventry Counts Dead Women Annual public vigil held to honour women and girls aged 13+ who are killed by men each year in the UK.

Organised by women from Coventry & Warwickshire, the event raises awareness of men's violence against women and girls.

“Clara was a brilliant young woman filled with dreams, a bright light whose loss has left an immeasurable void in our lives." 🖤

Those are the words of the family of Clara Bale, a 23-year-old woman who was pronounced dead in an Islington flat.

A murder investigation has been launched after police were alerted following concerns for the welfare of a woman inside a flat in Bollinder Place.

Met Police officers were called on Thursday, August 6 and found Clara unresponsive. She was pronounced dead, and her family have been informed. Four women aged, 20,21,23,26, and two men aged 21 and 24, have been arrested on suspicion of murder. They have all been released on bail while enquiries continue.

In a tribute, Clara's family said: “Clara was a brilliant young woman filled with dreams, a bright light whose loss has left an immeasurable void in our lives.

"She embodied hope, resilience and love. Her inspiring aura was felt in every room she entered and in every space she had yet to step into. A beloved friend, daughter and sister who cherished life above all else.

"Our hearts bleed with grief following her loss. We will forever miss her smile, her presence and her humanity.”
