Cdt Billington and Cdt Franklin have spent the week at Regional Camp, RAF Waddington, and what an incredible experience it’s been.
From exploring Bomber Command, to meeting the Red Arrows, and so much more — they’ve made memories that will stay with them throughout their cadet journey.
A fantastic achievement and a brilliant representation of 8F (1st City of Coventry) Squadron RAFAC.

Today, cadets from 8F (1st City of Coventry) Squadron RAFAC took to the skies at RAF Cosford with 8AEF.
All four cadets enjoyed a fantastic day of flying — and a special congratulations to the two cadets who earned their Blue Wings.

✈️💙 Blue Wings Earned at RAF Cosford!
Earlier this week, three cadets from 8F (1st City of Coventry) Squadron headed to RAF Cosford for their flying detail — and what a day they had.
All three completed their PTT training, took to the skies in the Grob Tutor, and earned their Blue Wings. A brilliant achievement and a proud moment for the squadron.

✨ Bronze Cyber Weekend at 8F!

Last weekend, 8F (1st City of Coventry) Squadron proudly hosted two Wing Bronze Cyber courses, welcoming cadets from all over the Wing for a packed programme of digital learning.

Our own 8F cadets were out in force, joining the Cyber Adventurers Course and getting hands‑on with online security, problem‑solving, and real‑world cyber challenges. The energy across both days was fantastic — focused, fun, and full of achievement.

Huge well done to everyone who took part, and thank you to the Wing Cyber Team for delivering such a brilliant weekend.

✈️ Back to Basics at 8F!
This morning our cadets got stuck into their DofE Skills training, focusing on the fundamentals that every young person should know.
It was fantastic to see our cadet SNCOs and staff stepping up, sharing their experience, and passing on vital skills to our newer cadets. Moments like these show exactly what RAFAC is all about — teamwork, mentorship, and growing together.
