Stivichall Hamlet. The Hamlet
The Hamlet of Stivichall consist of the Spinney, the Obelisk, the two meadow, the Smithy Cottage and Blacksmiths forge. the Bridge Cottage, Coat of Arms Bridge.

The suburb of Stivichall was an independent Hamlet until 1929. Major Charles Gregory-Hood who had owned the area for over 400 years gave the Hamlet to Stivichall Preservation Scheme who presented it in 1932 to Coventry City Council. Certain strings were applied by Major Gregory-Hood. He was to retain the mineral rights; there was to be no new buildings or shops and a ban on street vendors keeping the Hamlet frozen in time.
The associated fields and buildings were also purchased all being passed to the Council.

The road Stivichall Croft is off the Leamington Road leading to the Hamlet and the Coat of Arms Bridge.

At the junction of Armorial Road and Baginton Road starts the Hamlet. As you approach this you are transported back in time. The Spinney leading you down to the Hamlet with two meadows to the left.
