We are supported by The Heritage Seed Library and we will have number of HSL seed varieties at the event. Full details of the event will be posted nearer the time.

Finally, we have the poly all planted & tomatoes strung up. We’re trialling quite a lot of new varieties for us this year and can’t wait to share our favourites, but the little micro dwarf Orange Pinocchio gets the ‘over-achiever’ award so far!

One of the most wonderful things about this social online journey into growing food & saving your own seed is making many generous friends who are happy to share their rare and unusual finds with us along the way.

Thank you reasonablygoodlife (insta) for graciously sending us sugar beet, Chufa and a very interesting ‘Reforesting Scotland’ magazine. The sugar beet are already up and, hopefully, we’ll be successfully saving & returning seeds next year!

We’re finally getting some Summer crops into the poly. Tomatoes & Luffa were simply getting too big! The temperatures aren’t looking to bad here, especially overnight, but we have fleece ready and will watch forecasts closely for a couple of weeks!

The young gardeners at Wheelwright Lane Primary School & Nursery were one of our donation pack recipients in March 2026.

“Our Year 3 Allotment Club, Forest School and Eco School Warriors have been enthusiastically looking after your seeds, which are now young plants. The children have been working hard in the allotment and have carefully been tying in our bean plants so they can grow up the canes.”
