We have Bingo this Thursday afternoon at Binley Woods Community Cafe, you can come and play for just £1 for a strip of 6 tickets, there are prizes for the line and the house.

Soup with bread and butter is served afterwards at 3pm.

We have 18 places left for our Binley-Pendence Day Afternoon Tea Dance and this is now open to anyone in the community who would like to come along 😁

We are also arranging another Evening Theatre Trip to go and see Let’s Rock The 70s at Bedworth Civic Hall on Friday 11th September, tickets will be £32.50 pp including a £5 contribution to the coach travel there and back. Full details will be announced soon regarding booking.

Tomorrow afternoon at 2pm we have a social cafe with our Speed Mating table, giving you the opportunity to sit and talk to new people that you've not engaged with before.

We're also taking bookings for our next social event - A Binley-Pendence Day Afternoon Tea Dance on Saturday 4th July with Non Stop Bop 😊

Priority booking will be given to BWCC Thursday afternoon regulars, especially those who can't make our Live Band Nights for whatever reason. This is being funded by BWCC from the donations raised and we just ask for a donation on the day. Any spare places remaining will be open to anyone who would like to come, spare places will be announced next week.

Soup with bread and butter will be served at 3pm, plus the usual refreshments and biscuits.

All of this is available for just a donation of your choice.

Next week at 7pm on Thursday 11th June in the Morrison Room at Binley Woods Village Hall we are hosting a FREE public talk by Silvertime Legal called Tax, Care and the New Guy. This lasts for an hour and you have time to ask questions.

During the session, the speakers will cover essential topics such as:

Wills: Why they matter and the different types available.

Trusts: How they can protect your assets.

Lasting Powers of Attorney: Understanding their role in planning a head.

Sideways Disinheritance: Issues that can arise from remarriage and how to avoid them.

Inheritance Tax: Breaking it down in simple terms.

If you are interested in any of these subjects you are welcome to attend but you must pre book with us. We can accommodate 35 people and have 15 places remaining. Please email [email protected] if you would like to come.

We are not affiliated with Silvertime Legal and receive no fee or commission at all. There is no pressure to sign up to anything on the night, we just want to help raise awareness of these matters in our community ☺️

Our live music theme continues this Tuesday afternoon with our next coach trip to The Albany Theatre to see The Golden Age of Musicals.

Please be outside Binley Woods Village Hall for 12.50pm on Tuesday afternoon. Our coach will leave at 1pm to arrive at the theatre for 1.30pm for pre show coffee, cake and a chance to chat and socialise. The show starts at 2.30pm.

Your Volunteers for this trip are Chris, Karen and Rebecca.

Another fantabulous night at Binley Woods Village Hall tonight, this time with Talon

We've had such great feedback from people who came along about how much they enjoyed the night, and the standing ovation at the end of the show says it all...

TONIGHT it's our third Live Band Night of the year as we welcome Talon to Binley Woods Village Hall for their Acoustic Collection. We're very much looking forward to this as it's completely different to what we've done before 🙂

There is no dance floor tonight (which isn't a bad thing in this heat!), we just sit and enjoy the talent of these 4 guys as they play and sing songs by Eagles, Dire Straits, Crowded House, John Legend, Mamas & Papas, Glen Campbell, CCR, Billy Joel just to name a few.

Doors open at 7pm, the show starts at 8pm.

Bring your own alcohol, soft drinks and nibbles. We have tea, coffee and squash available in the interval for a cash donation. We'll have jugs of water available throughout the evening to keep you hydrated.

Please bring hand held fans with you if you have them to help keep you cool during the night as it's going to get 🥵 in there!

It's lovely to see so many men joining us on a regular basis for our Community Breakfast Morning at Woods Coffee Shop , there were 9 men and 3 ladies today (including Volunteer Rebecca who organises it).

We've been meeting twice a month for 6 months now and are continuing this throughout the year. We have people join us from Binley Woods, Binley, Brandon, Wolston, Ryton on Dunsmore, Wyken.

If you would like to meet us for breakfast one morning then please get in touch 😃

We hope you're all coping ok with this extreme heatwave 🥵

We have a few social activities going on this week starting with our next Community Breakfast Morning tomorrow at 9.30am at Woods Coffee Shop.

On Thursday afternoon we have the Community Cafe at 2pm and have sandwiches and a cuppa or a cold drink this week with biscuits.

On Friday night at 7pm we have our next Live Band Night and welcome Talon to the stage to perform their acoustic collection.

Please bring hand held fans with you to the Village Hall if you have them as it's going to be very warm this week.
