We had a wonderful peer-to-peer meeting for Ruractive today, starting with coffee and pastries at Birnam Arts, while Perthshire Artisans lead Caron gave a presentation about what the collective is accomplishing with local creatives.

Afterwards we had the pleasure of visiting Perthshire Artisan Linda Farquharson - Linocuts in her amazing studio, where she demonstrated some of her techniques and told us about some of the folklore that inspires her.

The session wound up with a walk at the Hermitage where the group discussed sustainable tourism and enjoyed a picnic lunch from ARAN Bakery

Today was the second of a two day event for this project, and we’ll be sharing a bit more about both soon!

“GrowBiz has enabled me to be more proactive within my business. Giving me the opportunity to expand my materials, apparel and providing advice and having conversations on small goals for me to develop my brand. I’ve really enjoyed engaging with them and it has really helped my confidence grow as an artist and as a business owner.”

Jo and Mike Robinson recently launched Ballinluig BBQ Nights - with support from GrowBiz, which they say gave them the confidence they needed:

“It has been so great to have reliable advice and suggestions to get our business started. It gave us the confidence to take the leap and make the idea go from planning to implementation far quicker than we would have unaided.

“We also feel there is somewhere to go for advice as we navigate the future growth of our business, which gives us more confidence we can succeed.”
