There's a war coming. The Great War of 1914 - 1918, its bloody history told using popular songs of the period, interspersed with scenes, sketches and readings. In 'Oh What A Lovely War' an ensemble cast covers an army of parts, quickly changing from character to character with the help of a hat, an accent, a coat. Readthroughs and auditions start tomorrow (Wednesday 8 April), at Coulsdon Community Centre from 8pm and there will be another on Monday, April 13 at 8pm. The recruiting drive starts here, Theatre Workshop Coulsdon wants you!

It’s a gripping, passionate piece of theatre set in the shadowy underworld of Victorian ladies boxing. A thrilling play about freedom - and how some women in history, literally had to fight for their lives to achieve it.

And the review is in! Ken Towl from Inside Croydon came on our opening night and he says 'This is a fast-moving play with no padding... Two hours on the emotional roller coaster.'
