The Association publishes the Fen Edge News and, under the terms of its constitution, works to benefit the community by improving the social, recreational and leisure facilities in the area of the Fen Edge Patch (Cottenham, Landbeach, Rampton, Waterbeach & Willingham), the catchment area of Cottenham Village College. Its members are individuals or clubs, groups or societies who, by their membershi

p fees or by taking part in and assisting with various events organised by the Association, generate the funds for grants and projects.

Cottenham Tennis Club – May Tennis Camps

May half-term tennis camps are a great way to keep the kids busy, get them outdoors and meet up with friends or even make new friends.

When? – Monday 25 and/or Tuesday 26 May.

Groups for ages 6–9 (5 if ready) at 2–3.30pm and ages 10–16 at 3.30-5.00pm.

Where? – At Cottenham Sports Centre, home of Cottenham Tennis Club.

You don’t need to be a member of Cottenham Tennis Club, no previous tennis experience is necessary, just book and enjoy!

Cottenham Cricket Club – All Stars and Dynamos programmes start Friday 15 May

We will be running ECB All Stars programme for ages 5–8 (boys and girls) (5.30–6.30pm) and ECB Dynamos programme (6.30–7.30pm) for ages 8–11 (boys and girls). Sessions take place at the Cottenham Recreation Ground starting on Friday 15 May and continuing for eight weeks until Friday 3 July.
The All Stars coaching provides a really fun introduction to cricket to get our youngsters enthused about the game and develop some basic skills whilst Dynamos takes this a step further, participants developing new cricketing skills including batting, bowling and fielding. It’s designed for children graduating from the All Stars cricket programme, but is also perfect for those who are new to the game. There are quite a few new activities in both courses for 2026!!

Rampton ’77 Committee – The Rampton Trail 2026

Sunday 26 April 1.30–4.30 pm – The Rampton Trail 2026: A Space Odyssey, Rampton Village Hall.

Can you find our aliens, planets and spacecraft? Follow our fun village trail, solve the clues and win a lovely chocolate prize. Not just for children! There is an additional prize for everyone who arrives in space-themed fancy dress. There is free entry to Rampton Village Hall, where you will find delicious refreshments, cakes, bottle stalls, gifts, games, space photos, and our famous grand spring raffle with fabulous prizes. Cottenham Swift Action Group – Meeting 25 April

We are small friendly, newly formed, group brought together by our mutual aim to improve the swift population of Cottenham.
You don’t need to know anything about swifts to join us – maybe you just enjoy the sound of swifts screaming overhead in summer as they hunt for insects.
Our next meeting is on Saturday 25 April 11am at the Cottenham Community Centre.

City of Cambridge Symphony Orchestra is giving a concert on Saturday 28 March at West Road concert hall at 7.30pm. It should be a great evening.

The Cottenham Fun Run is Back! Saturday 9 May 2026

The Cottenham Fun Run is back in 2026 on Saturday 9 May.

The ROCStars (Runners of Cottenham) local running club have kindly agreed to help again with the organisation of the Fun Run with the intention of making the Run bigger and better than ever before.
The Fun Run is kindly sponsored by Malary.

The route is as it was for the Fun Run in 2025 which saw a successful new start point at the Recreation Ground on Lambs Lane and a brand new course over 7K that is mainly off-road.

The Fun Run will raise valuable funds for Alzheimer’s Scoiety and local group the Cottenham Colts.

Race Registration will take place between 8:30 am and 9:30 am at Cottenham Recreation Ground. The 7K Fun Run will start at 10 am. The Race Entry Fee is £10.

There will also be a 2k Junior Fun Run around the Recreation Ground that starts at 9:00 am – Entry costs £5. All Junior competitors must be accompanied by an adult and each receives a medal at the finishing line.
