Cosby Community Library

Cosby Community Library Cosby Community Library is a Registered Charity No. 1168347... Our amazing volunteers look after Cos Together we can keep this local gem going!

Cosby Community Library is a gorgeous little asset to the village of Cosby. Unfortunately in 2015 the Council announced plans to shut the Library and others in Leicestershire as they could no longer fund them beyond April 2017. They did, however, announce that should the villagers find a way to run the Library with volunteers they would lease the premises and continue to provide external support.

With an army of volunteers we have been successful in creating a charity, Cosby Community Library, so that the Library can continue to provide books and events to the people of Cosby. We also hope to provide an environment where local people, adults and children, can come to learn, socialise and enjoy events. It is a long haul task, and we are continually looking for volunteers to help staff the library and fundraise amongst other things. If you can help, or if you simply want to help raise awareness then please 'like' the page, share it on your page, tell your friends, visit the library and contact us with your ideas, funding / sponsorship opportunities, volunteer availability etc!

Come and join us this evening 📚

Come and join us on Monday 13th April, where we will be hosting an evening for a talented local Crime Fiction author - Susan Kerell. She will have lots of stories to tell you all, or you can find out more by asking her a question in Q&A session.

"Susan Kerell has been writing for many years, but her first novel lay unfinished until her daughters had the story printed as a book for her birthday. This was the catalyst needed to complete it, and A Time to Let Go was published in 2020 - the COVID year. A book of poetry and a sequel novel followed, but Clues or Coincidences? is her first venture into crime writing. When she is not writing, Susan will be found working in her garden or enjoying time with her family."

Signed books will be available to purchase on the night directly from Susan and are priced at £8.99, CASH ONLY.
• Free entry
• Refreshments available

Clues or Coincidences? The Cavendish Case...
A tragic death in the middle of the night, but who is he? At the same time, about twenty miles away, a murder of an international best-selling author. Are the two deaths connected?

The investigation follows a chain of clues from a postcode to a silly pact between friends. Confusing the CID is the increasing number of coincidences linked to the two cases, or are they, in fact, clues?

It is a gripping mystery, where the line between accident and crime is blurred. What really happened on that fateful night?
