Does anyone know anything about the house?

Is that a ghost coming out of the house?

28 October 1952 William Morris Hughes, CH, KC died.

William was an Australian politician who served as the 7th Prime Minister of Australia from 1915 to 1923. He is best remembered for leading the country through the First World War.

William was born 25 Sept 1862 in London, where his father was helping with renovation work to the House of Parliament. HIs father - William Hughes we believe came from the Corwen Area, his mother Jane Morris came from the small village of Llansantffraid-ym-Mechain.

William's mother died when he was 6 and he was sent to his father's sister Mary in Llandudno to live. Mary ran a B&B Bryn Rosa, where William earned pocket money helping with the tenants

William emigrated to Australia aged 22 where his political career grew and as prime minister famously traded insults in Welsh with David Lloyd George.

The link with Corwen - and some more to research! It is possible he was related to Elizabeth Roberts who was the landlady of the Owain Glyndwr in the early 1900s. Just need to check some facts on that one. If you know anything - please let me know!
