📣 Corby 3D Project – We’re Looking for a Permanent Home!
Hi everyone! As many of you know, Corby 3D Project is growing fast, and it’s been amazing seeing the community get excited about learning 3D printing, design, and hands on making.
We’re now looking for a small permanent space to set up in — something around the size of a classroom would be perfect. Because we’re a not for profit community group, and we’re committed to keeping sessions free for members, we’re hoping to find somewhere with no or very low rent if possible.
We currently can only meet once a month due to the costs of our current location, and because 3D prints can take time, our 3 hour sessions limit the types of projects people can work on. A permanent space would allow us to offer longer sessions, more frequent meet ups, and a much better learning experience for everyone.
A few things we need:
• A room we can use regularly and safely store equipment
• A decent internet connection (our free software is web based) — though if the space is affordable, we can bring our own router
• A supportive environment where we can continue offering teaching sessions and giving the community access to 3D printing
If you know any organisations, community centres, schools, businesses, or individuals who might have a spare room or unused space, we’d love to chat.
Corby 3D Project is all about giving people the chance to learn new skills, explore creativity, and access technology they might not otherwise get to use. A permanent home would help us expand what we can offer and keep everything free and accessible.
Feel free to message me directly or comment below if you have any leads.
Thank you for supporting this project and helping it grow!
