🌟 Thank you all for your support & kindness 🌟
This evening, I am very happy to announce the total raised for our CVLW 2026.
A wonderful ⭐ £1583.64 ⭐ had been raised during the evening, including some extremely kind donations we’ve received thereafter, all in support of our chosen charities this year, HUGS & H E L P - Supporting People In Need.
Our thanks to Mitchell’s and Butlers who have again provided a £125 cheque for each charity, which has been included in our total raised. Thank you to my cousin Simon for facilitating this wonderful donation.
My heartfelt thanks to Brom’s family for their unwavering support of our lantern walk and for their continued kindness. 💫
In total, HUGS and H.E.L.P will each receive £791.82. 💷
With thanks to Lift Craft Ltd & Lift and Engineering Services Ltd sponsorship, we continue to have a secure float and financial infrastructure, should we proceed with CVLW in the future, a situation we didn’t think we’d ever be able to achieve, so our huge thanks for this.
In the 3 years we’ve operated (2024, 2025 and 2026) we’ve raised over £5,000 for local charities, something we’d not invisaged when we started this journey, however, something we are so incredibly proud of. Whilst we are not talking life changing sums of money, we know in such challenging times, every penny counts. 🙏
Thank you to everyone who donated tombola and raffle prizes, it is this part of the evening that really pulls in the charitable funds and without the prizes we couldn’t raise the funds.
Finally, thank you to everyone that braved the cold, brought their change and lit their lanterns. In memory of those we have loved and lost, we again brought light to our village streets by joining together, our wonderful community spirit which just never falters. 🫶
I don’t yet know the future of CVLW but for now I’m just so grateful to share all we have achieved as a little village community. How lucky we are. 🌟
