I’ve created a new Facebook group instead of using this page, as it allows local businesses to post and introduce themselves directly.

Posts in the group appear automatically, so businesses can share offers, updates and promotions themselves without needing this page to repost or share them.

It also allows people to ask for recommendations and interact directly with local businesses.

If you run or support a local café, shop, tearoom, service or small business in Conwy, Llandudno or surrounding areas, feel free to join and introduce yourself.

🌟 Please Read – A Local Gem We Need to Support 🌟

I just want to give a genuine shoutout to Prom Ally.

This is not just a dress shop – it’s a social enterprise built around giving back. She provides stunning prom and even wedding dresses, both brand new and pre-loved, at prices that make them accessible to everyone.

I’ve just bought my daughter’s prom dress from there for £20 – and it’s easily worth a couple of hundred pounds. The quality is incredible. The choice is amazing. And the care she gives every girl who walks through the door is something really special.

This isn’t about profit. It’s about community.

Sadly, due to rising overheads, she’s closing the physical shop and moving online only. So if you have a daughter, granddaughter, niece or know anyone with prom or even a wedding coming up – please take a look and support her.

It’s also important we value and protect businesses that exist to genuinely help families. When someone builds something to give back, that’s something our community should stand behind.

Just to clear up some confusion, we are still operating as usual as a social enterprise across the UK, offering FREE prom dress or suit loans to disadvantaged students.

- Available UK wide
- Students must be referred via the referral form on our website
- Or you can email me directly for more information

🛍 RHOS-ON-SEA SHOP: CLOSING END OF THIS MONTH
- Until the end of this month it is open Thursday, Friday & Saturday, 12pm-5pm
- Selling dresses between £5 and £50
- NO appointment needed, just walk in like a normal shop

📅 FROM END OF FEBRUARY ONWARDS
- The shop will no longer be open for walk-ins
- Appointments WILL be required
- Appointments are mainly for FREE referral students, but I’m also happy to try to meet anyone who wants to purchase a prom dress by appointment (depending on stock levels)

We have some very exciting news to share!

As some of you already know, we have been working really hard behind the scenes on something very exciting. The time has finally come to share this news with you all.

We are delighted to announce that we have agreed a deal to aquire Clothes for Work. We can’t tell you how honoured and excited we are to take the reins of such a well respected and successful local business. Trevor & Gail started Clothes for Work back in 1998, building a successful customer base that reaches across the Uk, and a very well known local brand that many of you will be familiar with.

We are currently working through a transition period together, the first phase of which has been to move Clothes for Work in to our premises in Craig Y Don. The relocation is now complete, Clothes for Work are now officially located and running at 37 Mostyn Avenue. Trevor & Gail are still very much at the helm of Clothes for Work for now. We are taking this time to find our feet and learn the ropes. The plan is that we will take over fully when Trevor & Gail start their well deserved retirement later this year.

For now, nothing will change except the location of Clothes for Work. Darcey’s Interiors is still very much running from the same site too. As previously announced, our interim plan is to move Darcey’s Interiors online only. For that reason, we will soon be announcing a HUGE stock clearance sale, please keep your eyes peeled for more details on that. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our customers who have supported Darcey’s Interiors in Craig Y Don over the last four years.

We hope you’ll join us and support us in this new venture as we step into this exciting new chapter. We know we have big shoes to fill, but we’re truly excited to continue delivering the high level of professional service that Clothes for Work is known and loved for. We will share more details of our plans as the transition moves forward 🧵 🪡.

We thought we'd introduce ourselves and let you know a little bit about the babysitters!

Hey it's Lucy here (Left). I have a busy social life but when I'm not busy I like to help other people. I enjoy finding new food spots (gluten free), going for walks, shopping and exploring new places. I like to watch a good series or film, read books and enjoy a spa day. My family and friends mean the world to me. Although I don't have any children of my own I have a very wide range of experience across different environments and understand how important it is to have time to yourselves as parents.

Hey Caitlin here (Right). I enjoy gardening, we recently got our own allotment and can't wait to start setting it up properly this year! I enjoy finding new places to explore, garden centres (obviously haha), doing jigsaws and cross stitch. Like Lucy, I enjoy a spa day and finding new gluten free places. I love spending time with my family and friends making special memories. I have a 3 year old son called Reggie, he joins us on most of our adventures.

We worked together in 2014 in a childcare setting and have been friends since. Due to this there may be occasions where we are both unavailable. We both work in education settings and both have experience working with children with ALN.

Quick update for everyone in Deganwy. Santa was all ready to set off with the sleigh tonight, but with a yellow weather warning for wind, he’s decided it’s best to stay put.
He doesn’t want any little ones waiting out in rough weather, and the reindeer weren’t too keen on being blown sideways either.

He’ll be back on the route as soon as it’s safe for everyone, so keep an eye out for him on Tuesday, 16th December. He’s promised he won’t miss you. 🎅✨
