Good evening all.
Sorry its been a long time in limbo. The team at St Johns decided that we had to take a break in proceedings to ensure that safeguarding was all in place before we continued.
In the meantime. Id like to offer my heartfelt thanks to all St John's Methodist, Conwy for allowing me a venue to host my project of feeding those in need in a warm space. As youre aware, it was my brainchild almost 5 years ago now, where Boris Johnson said that people are having to choose whether to heat their homes or eat. And me being a trained chef with free time thought this cant be happening in our community surely. So set about finding a host. The team at St Johns have been kind enough to let me use their church to do this. And we have always had fantastic support from Tatws Trading Fresh Fruit & Veg Merchant and also Edwards of Conwy.
However earlier this summer, the St Johns Team held a meeting and decided, in my absence, that their kitchen facilities are no longer suitable to host.
So faced at a crossroads. I thought is it time to draw the curtains on Heat and Eat? And i thought of the faces and gratitude of those that came to rely on our sessions so i decided to look for another venue to host us. And its looking very promising that something will materialise very soon...... so we will continue just from a different base. I will update you all with more news when everything is in place. Exciting times...
