🔑 Station Road, Consett, DH8 5RL. Citizens house consists of a main hall and two smaller rooms for hire, all with access to a kitchen. The building has central heating, projector screens, whiteboards on request and has some storage for regular gr

oup bookings. We are available to hire for leisure and recreational activities,exhibitions, counseling sessions, support groups, public meetings and training events. We are situated close to the A692 and have parking to the front of the building.

✨ A Special 80th Birthday Celebration ✨

It was a pleasure to welcome a very special 80th birthday celebration to Northern Grind Café, within Citizens House, Consett.

A beautiful afternoon spent surrounded by family and friends, celebrating eight wonderful decades and creating memories to treasure. 🥂

Guests enjoyed a beautifully presented selection of food from NE Charcuterie, providing the perfect finishing touch to a truly special occasion.

We’re delighted to be able to offer Citizens House and Northern Grind Community Cafe as a welcoming space for celebrations, gatherings and memorable occasions.

Thank you for choosing us to be part of such a special milestone — and a very happy 80th birthday. 🤍🥂

We’re delighted to share that our Charity Afternoon Tea on 2nd August was a great success!

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and supported the event. Your generosity, kindness and community spirit made the afternoon so special. Thanks to your incredible generosity, we raised an amazing £881 for Citizens House.

We’d also like to say a heartfelt thank you to all of our amazing volunteers and everyone who helped behind the scenes – it was through your hard and support which made the event possible.

Finally, we’d like to give a special shout-out to the wonderful local businesses and individuals who kindly donated brilliant raffle prizes. Your support helped make our raffle a fantastic success, and we’re so grateful for your generosity.
