๐Ÿ”ฅ Caller gave a very vague location, so the location took a while to find.
๐Ÿ”ฅ Upon inspection it was a controlled burn, which had started to ignite nearby grassland.
๐Ÿ”ฅ The emergency services use What3words, this can help enormously to pin point an incident location & help us get there quicker.
๐Ÿ”ฅ Controlled burns should always be notified in advance to North West Fire Control.
๐Ÿ”ฅ In these hot dry conditions please do not light fires or controlled burns.

If you spot a wildfire, get to a safe place and call 999, telling us as much as you can about the location (What3Words is very helpful) and direction of the fire and what is burning.

๐Ÿš’ Pumping from open water using the main pump to carry out a deep lift & supply our hose reel jet & low pressure hoses.
๐Ÿš’ Due to the height of the drop into the beck, it was decided that the pump operator should utilise work restraint to mitigate the risk of falling from height.
