The investigation into the Parish council by the government appointed External Auditor is apparently ongoing. This is the AGAR, that every council in the country must do annually, and it's purpose is to ensure good governance and prevent fraud. Our current council is refusing to respond to a Freedom of Information request to find out who has access to our bank account, which will obviously not be well received by the auditor.
The External Auditor has the power to order a judicial review of the councils activities if it suspects fraud or money laundering
