What a lovely surprise today! ❤️

When I arrived at the kennels, who should be looking at me through the kennel glass but the lovely Ava! 🐾

She’s back for a holiday at Country Kennels and Daycare, and I was so delighted to see her again.

She is absolutely gorgeous, has come on leaps and bounds and looks amazing. Seeing her looking so well really made my day! ❤️

🐾 Fagan has found his happy new home! ❤️

Thank you to everybody who applied to adopt Fagan. I’m sorry if we haven’t managed to get back to everyone—there have been a few glitches with our system, and we’re working on updating it along with our websites.

Fagan is now happily settled in his new home with his sister and is very much enjoying life! 🐶🐶❤️

We wish him and his new family lots of happy adventures together.

Life is always better with a Dobermann.

They take over your sofa, follow you to the bathroom, steal your side of the bed and somehow convince you that personal space is completely unnecessary. 😂

But they also give you something incredibly special — unconditional love, loyalty, companionship and a bond that’s very difficult to put into words. 🖤🤎

Once you’ve shared your life with a Dobermann, you understand. They aren’t just a dog in the house…

They’re family. ❤️

🐾 REGGIE IS LOOKING VERY TOASTY! 🥰

Just look at our gorgeous Reggie, looking very smart and lovely and snug in his new fleece! ❤️🐾

With the cooler autumn weather creeping in, we want to make sure our rescue dogs are kept as warm and comfortable as possible — and I think it’s safe to say Reggie approves! 😂

He looks rather handsome in it too, doesn’t he? 😍

A huge thank you to the lovely lady who donated Reggie’s fleece today. Your kindness really does make a difference to our dogs. ❤️

Life with a Dobermann means a permanent shadow, a stolen sofa seat and someone who firmly believes every visitor has come to see THEM. 🖤🤎

❤️🐾 PLEASE GIVE KIZZY A BIG SHARE LET’S FIND HER RETIREMENT HOME! 🐾❤️

We really need everyone’s help with this one. Please don’t just scroll past Kizzy give this beautiful older girl a BIG SHARE! 🙏❤️

Kizzy is 9½ years old, and now that she has settled into foster, we’ve really got to know what a wonderful girl she is. She is an absolutely lovely, easy house dog who deserves to spend her retirement in a home of her very own. 🥰

🏡 Fully house trained
❤️ Calm, friendly and affectionate
🌙 Sleeps through the night as long as she gets her two gravy bones at bedtime! 😂
🥰 Loves wearing her jimjams overnight
🌳 Happy pottering around the garden at her own pace
🏠 Non-destructive
⏰ Happy in her own company and can be left for short periods
👦 Has happily spent time with a 6-year-old child
📮 Even greets the post lady every day with a wagging tail!

❤️ HEALTH

Kizzy is doing really well for 9½ years old. She has some fatty lumps and a little arthritis given her age, but otherwise there are no known health issues.

🐾 THE IMPORTANT BIT

Kizzy is very reactive towards other dogs, so her new family must understand that this will need sensible management.

She needs to be:

🐕 THE ONLY DOG IN THE HOME
🐈 NO CATS

Even with her dog reactivity, Kizzy is already making progress. After just two weeks in foster, she has stopped reacting to her foster family’s dogs when she sees them through a gate. ❤️

🏡 WHAT KIZZY IS LOOKING FOR

A quiet, loving retirement home, a secure garden where she can potter around at her own pace, someone who understands her needs, a warm comfortable bed and plenty of love. ❤️

And obviously we can’t forget her jimjams and those all-important two gravy bones at bedtime! 😂🥰

At 9½ years old, Kizzy really isn’t asking for the world. She just needs someone to look past her reactivity towards other dogs and see the wonderful girl she is in the home.

She deserves to spend her retirement knowing that this time she really is HOME FOR GOOD. ❤️🏡

🐾 TRAFFORD UPDATE — LOOK HOW FAR HE’S COME! ❤️

Some of you will remember Cobain, now called Trafford. We’ve had such a wonderful update from his family, and we couldn’t be prouder of how far this gorgeous boy has come.

Trafford had his challenges, particularly when out walking and seeing other dogs. His family have put so much time, patience and work into him, and it’s really paying off. He’s now able to pass some dogs calmly, and although he can still have the occasional difficult day, he’s having far more good days than bad ones. 🥰

And there’s been another lovely development… Trafford now loves his feline friends too! 🐱❤️🐶 It’s wonderful seeing him learning, settling and becoming part of his family.

His family told us:

“We are so glad we took him, he’s such a lovely boy and we absolutely adore him. We will get there with him. We are prepared to do anything we need to help and give him the best life.”

And of course, Trafford’s absolute favourite thing in the world is still his BALL! 😂🎾

This is why we love getting updates from our adopted dogs. Sometimes it takes time, consistency and commitment, but when someone is prepared to work with a dog rather than give up at the first hurdle, this is what can happen.

A massive well done to Trafford and his family. You’ve done him proud. ❤️🐾
