Woof! It’s me — Benny — Chief Sheepdog, Top Park Reporter and Number‑One Belly‑Rub Inspector! 🚨🐶
🐑 FARM & FIELD CHAT
✅ Sheep shearing’s well underway! Four fleeces off so far — wow, those coats were HUGE! My mum huffed and puffed with her clippers (I reckon my teeth are sharper! 🦷😂) — it wasn’t the neatest trim, but those sheep are much cooler now! One lovely tartan‑patterned sheep has a sore foot — soaked, cleaned and sprayed with medicine, but we’ll have a serious chat with the Vet for extra help! 🩹
✅ Tiny lambs are skipping about nibbling fresh green grass — honestly, cutest sight ever! I’d love to cuddle them but all they want to do is follow be about and nibble my tail. One even went in search of milk thinking I was mum. That wasn’t pleasant for either of us I can tell you! 🐑💚
✅ Delilah the Dexter cow was having a quiet morning — probably sunbathing! She jumped right up when dinner arrived — who wouldn’t?! ☀️
✅ Little Maple the goat is having a whale of a time making new best mates with the other Nubians — happy bleats all round! 🐐
✅ Soay sheep have moved into the Lemur Walk‑Through! Now the Emus get fed in proper buckets so no sneaky sheep nick their tea! 🪣
🐾 ANIMAL HEALTH & HAPPY UPDATES
🌟 TIDDLES UPDATE — OUR LITTLE SUPERSTAR! 🎉
You remember her — running a bit wobbly at first? Now look at her! She’s putting on weight beautifully! 💪 Guzzling 200–300 ml at each feed! She had a quieter drink tonight but seems bright as a button. She’ll always be our tiny, special girl — and she’s staying with us forever! 🥹💖
🌟 Red deer calf is settled happily back in the big deer field after escaping to chase wild deer. He’s glad to be part of the gang again! 🦌
🦜 BIRD GOSSIP
🐦 Galahs had their winter home scrubbed spotless! Huge thanks to Mark! But their enclosure’s not great, so we’re planning a move: setting up a travel cage, feeding them inside so they get used to it! 🚚
🐦 Poor Yoshi was getting picked on by the Quakers at tea time! 😢 She’s now moved into a new enclosure that’s been done up just for her.
🐦 Egg patrol! Removed eggs from Quakers and geese — definitely rotten and stinky — and we certainly don’t want more noisy chicks running wild! 🤢🚫🥚
🐦 Watch the Rheas! They’re nesting deep in the bushes — and dad is seriously fierce! 😳 Feels like Jurassic Park when he spots you! Lots of Keeper squeels as they struggled to get the gate open and get out as he came charging! 😅
🐒🦝 MONKEYS, COATIS & CARNIVORES
🥗 BRANCHES GALORE! 🌿 Loads of yummy fresh browse for marmosets, squirrel monkeys, lemurs, coatis and meerkats — nibbling, hiding, climbing — everyone’s busy and happy!
🥩 Carnivore dinners kept extra cool! Eurasians played hard‑to‑get at first, but brave Rob fetched their water bath, scrubbed it sparkling clean! 🛁
🦝 Coatis & meerkats went wild for frozen treats, meat dinners and hamster snacks — great for keeping claws trim and brains busy! 🦞
🐒 Squirrel monkeys: One lady was being bossed away from food — so we fed her separately so she got her fair share! 💛
🦦 Otter Experiences were a HIT! Visitors went completely “cuteness‑overload” crazy! 🥰 Orla & Ravioli are superstars — even if Ravi still tries to pinch Orla’s snacks! Naughty but nice!
✨ GREAT NEWS! Our Animal Ambassador Programme has officially started! 🎉 Anne is Co-ordinating so give her a call if you’d like to be an animal ambassador and choose your animal - it’s going to be pawsome!
Plus, we’ve had wonderful help from our amazing volunteers — cleaning, feeding, helping out all over the park — we couldn’t do it without them! 🤍

⭐ Volunteers & Crew — absolute legends! Scrubbing, chopping, chasing goats, building, raking, fetching branches and giving every animal extra love. 💙

⭐ Danni now on weekly Friday duties — top‑quality window washing, fresh water and enrichment treats!
