Our paddling season has now come to an end and we're really proud of what our volunteers have achieved this season catering to more young people than ever!

We're always recruiting more volunteers so if you're a keen paddler who would like to help in some way, please do email [email protected] and we can add you to our flexible team.

We've had to retire two of our old kayaks this year; they've been gratefully received by the Polar Bears at the Peak Wildlife park (photos to come) so we're looking for grants towards replacing those. If you know of any or happen to enjoy applying for funding for things, we'd love to hear from you.

Tonight marked the last night of booked Squirrel and Beaver sessions at Bugsworth Basin. We’ve had great fun exploring the basin and the Peak Forest canal with our youngest paddlers, and can’t wait to do it all again next year.

A massive thank you goes to Mark, Rose, Pauline, Harry, Julia, and Richard for running these sessions, with a special mention to Mark and Rose for transporting the canoes and equipment from Combs every week.

We’re glad you all had a great time!

Both groups did incredibly well - despite the wind’s best efforts - and had a great time on the water!
