Thinking about joining a sports club?

The summer holidays are a great time to get started at Comberton Squash Club.

We welcome beginners, juniors, returning players and experienced squash players. You do not need to be brilliant to join — just willing to give it a go.

The club offers:

🏸 **Club Coaching Tomorrow at Comberton Squash Club**

A quick update for this Sunday — club coaching is on at the slightly earlier time of:

3.409m to 5pm for intermidates
5pm to 6.20 pm for advanced

This session is open to **all members**, so come along, get on court, and start Sunday properly.

Yes, we know.
It’s early.
It’s a Sunday.
You may need to be wide-eyed and bushy-tailed slightly earlier than planned. 😅

So maybe manage Saturday night accordingly… or at least bring your best “I’m definitely awake” energy.

The session will be a great chance to work on your game, get some movement in, and enjoy a bit of coaching before the rest of Sunday disappears.

Junior Coaching

🏸 Junior Squash at Comberton Squash Club

Our junior squash sessions are a great way for young players to learn the game, build confidence and stay active.

The sessions focus on:

✅ Movement
✅ Coordination
✅ Racket skills
✅ Confidence on court
✅ Fun games and activities
✅ Learning in a friendly environment

Whether your child is completely new to squash or already playing, junior coaching is a great way to develop skills and enjoy being part of the club.

New faces are always welcome.

Racketball

🎾 Racketball at Comberton Squash Club

Fancy trying something fun, social and surprisingly addictive?

Racketball is a great way to get on court, improve fitness and enjoy longer rallies. The bigger ball means bigger bounces, making it a brilliant option for beginners, returning players and regular squash players who fancy something different.

It is basically:

✅ Cardio disguised as fun
✅ A social event with a racket
✅ A good excuse to move more
✅ Easier to pick up than squash
✅ Still competitive enough to get hooked

Spare rackets are available, so you can come along and give it a go.

Big ball. Big bounces. Big fun.

🏆 **A fantastic first season for Comberton Ladies!**

Comberton Squash Club’s ladies team have completed their very first season in the Cambridgeshire Winter League, finishing an impressive **4th place**. 👏

The team finished with **62 points**, including **2 wins and 4 draws**, competing strongly against some well-established clubs across Cambridgeshire. More importantly, the season has given more women the opportunity to enjoy competitive team squash and represent Comberton.

We’re really proud of what the team has achieved and are looking forward to building on it next season.

Cambridgeshire Junior Squash 2026/27

The new Cambridgeshire Junior Squash Calendar for 2026/27 is now available, with lots of events taking place across the county for juniors of all ages and abilities.

There are opportunities for juniors to get involved in:

Junior County Closed Championships
Cambridgeshire Junior Squash League
Junior Friendly Series
Inter-County Team Championships
Junior tournaments and friendlies across the county

The Junior County Closed Championships will take place at Comberton Squash Club on 26th/27th September 2026, giving Cambridgeshire juniors a great chance to gain match experience and compete against other young players from around the county.

The Junior League also returns, with rounds taking place across the season, including Round One on 11th October, Round Two on 20th December, Round Three on 14th March, and the Finals on 23rd May.

There will also be a Cambridgeshire Junior Friendly Series, including events at Hunts County, Peterborough, Comberton, Ely, Hunts County girls-only friendly, and King’s School Cambridge. These are ideal for juniors who want friendly match experience in a relaxed and supportive environment.

A great season of junior squash ahead.

New juniors are always welcome — whether they are beginners, improving players, or already playing regularly.

Unofficial Sunday Training

Looking for some extra court time?

A few members are getting together for unofficial squash training every Sunday from 5:00pm at Comberton Squash Club.

This is a relaxed, informal session for players who want to practise, improve and get a few games in. It is a good chance to work on your squash, meet other members and build confidence on court.

All abilities are welcome — whether you are looking to improve your fitness, sharpen your game, or just enjoy some extra squash.
