Folks, we are now closed for some preparation for Summer Madness.

And so young people, thank you for your amazing contributions over the last 9-10 months; it has been amazing getting to know you all more, and seeing you grow in your friendships and moving closer to fulfilling your potential.

We are excited for all that the Summer will hold for us, and ask you to keep in touch and keep an eye on our socials over the coming weeks.

Folks, we have made a decision to close for drop in this evening, in light of the protests up and down the country after the events of last night’s horrific attack.

We are unaware of any scheduled protests in Comber, however we want to honour our volunteers who travel in to support our provision; but also honour our young people and ensure that they are safe too.

We would like to encourage our community to join with us as we pray over our country tonight at 7pm - for peace, for dialogue, for safety and protection over our communities and for those who call it home.

Love ♥️
Everyone at The Net.

Praying People, on Monday 1st June, 11am-1pm, we will be opening our doors to enjoy a light brunch, catch up and pray over all that this Summer will have for our young people.

Prayer is an important and valuable practice that we do over all our efforts to engage young people in our community; we would love you to join us.

We are excited to be hosting families, supporters and our community this Saturday, 16th May.

You may not be aware, but we cater for more than 100 young people in our centre every week…and for most people walking passed, might wonder where we put them, or what we do with them…

So this Saturday between 2-4pm you are invited for a taste of Net Life:

* make some pancakes/traybakes
* put our local Luke Littler darts champ to the test
* 2v2 football cage
* pool competition
* jewellery making
* entertainment

And much more…

Get down and join in, meet some of our amazing young people and enjoy your taste of The Net.

Thinking and praying for you all as you wake up and find out your schools for next year.

As a parent of a P7, I can only say that after the journey of this year, if you face life with as much grit and determination as you have this year, you can achieve anything! And know that whether you sat the SEAG or not, we and your families are very proud of you.

In Proverbs 3:5-6, it is written:

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways know him, and he will make your paths straight.”

As you have found out this year - pressure, expectations, anxiety and emotions - not everything is within our control, and it is in those times we can find comfort and hope in God, and the plans he has for our lives.

Well done to you all and can’t wait to see you on Wednesday 🎉🙌🙌🎉

This Saturday two of our volunteers are heading into Belfast in support of the march against gender violence.

A very real and sadly not well covered issue in our society. The focus of the march is that since 2020, there have been 30 femicides in Northern Ireland, and we join with all those impacted to say “not one more!”

Our young people joined in to hear why our team are heading to the March and put their heads together to create these signs. Our volunteers go with their support: raising awareness for women and girls of The Net

We were pleased to welcome Raymond from for coming to take us through our EFAW [Emergency First Aid in the Workplace].

We had an amazing day with a great group of people - so informative, great hands on experience and plenty of bants along the way.

Parents, you’ll be happy to know that your children are in good hands 🙌🙌🙌

A massive shout out to these legends. I can’t explain how blessed we are to have people who care this much and give so generously of their time to The Net.

The building is big and takes a lot of abuse, and these amazing individuals, are using their skills, hobbies and passions to continue providing not only a safe and welcoming place for young people, but a place that is worthy of their attendance.

Thank you team for honouring our young people in a practical way today.
