Munchkins offers a home for life for miniature Shetland ponies in need. National Equine Welfare Council. We work alongside and with other larger organisations such as World Horse Welfare and RSPCA. We have capacity for approximately
50 ponies. Those ponies that are suitable for rehoming we place in "forever homes"

. Homes will be checked and we will require references from your vet and farrier. We rehome within approximately 50-60 mile radius of Colyton, East Devon. Applications from outside this area will be at our discretion. All ponies will belong to Munchkins and may be returned at any time to our Rescue centre. Many have come from troubled backgrounds and need the continuity of a permanent home. We are run by a group of wonderful volunteers who work tirelessly to help! Please sponsor one of our ponies by visiting our website www.mini-munchkins.org

Here is a lovely update and video for you to enjoy of Sequin who is out in her forever home with Sonja and her companion Todd:-

"The ponies are being turned out in the mornings now and as you can see Sequin has had a lovely roll in what is now mud. They love grazing near the cows, it’s their morning catch up with the neighbours! Even Ivy the Jack Russell likes to get involved!"

Hay folks Tim here with your Tuesday round up of Munchkins news. The weather still hasn't made its mind up about which season we are currently in. This is the first day of September and officially the beginning of meteorological Autumn 🍂 but the weather can’t decide what to do! Showers with sunny spells seems to be the order of the day!
I have just heard that it is officially ginger cat appreciation day today, so hello to all ginger cats. Our mouser crew does not have any ginger cats currently as Molly is grey brown tabby and Lola is a tuxedo, so I think we managed to avoid missing anyone out! ☺️🐈
As you have probably guessed there is not a lot going on here today. We are all enjoying the tasty hay and swapping stories with each other! I have been asked by Womble if we are planning a trip to Santa’s workshop this year. I must admit I hadn’t really thought about it yet but I wonder how many people would be interested in sending a letter to Santa via Munchkins pony post and of course getting a reply! ☺️ we will have a think! 🤔
Well for the first day of autumn the trees are all looking remarkably green leaved. The squirrels 🐿️ are all collecting nuts and burying them as food for winter. This of course is how some trees are spread to strange places. My typist found a horse chestnut tree growing in one of her flower pots, a chestnut buried as part of a winter food store had rooted and grown into a small tree!! ( now safely transplanted to a suitable new home!)
Mummy Munchkin is off on a 10 day holiday, today as you read this, to her niece's wedding in Cyprus. Her son and his girlfriend are house sitting for a week and Amelia our yard manager will also house sit for the last 3 days and look after the 3 dogs, 3 cats and her 3 horses, with a fabulous sharer in place too for the horses.
A well deserved break and hopefully restful!
It's not easy going abroad with so many animals and responsibilities.
This diary has all the news I can find for now so I am going to get to the hay and have a munch and discuss fundraising ideas for the next few months. Ideas appreciated ☺️
I will return tomorrow with more! TTFN,

Tim, Munchkins Head Reporter.

Hay folks Tim here with your bank holiday Monday update, the weather has reverted to type, something of everything today! But it wouldn't be Summer bank holiday if we didn't have some rain! There are a lot of smaller items today after Tilly's amazing sheep and goat update yesterday. So here we go.
Our Sunday volunteer numbers are slowly growing, recently we met Bonnie, known as Boo, today we are going to meet our wonderful volunteer Teddy, or Ted as he likes to be known. Ted’s favourite Munchkin is Reggie. Ted has had some time with Maisie to learn about us Munchkins and how to interact with us. There are some photos on the page do check them out.
Another post shows Munchkins Bilbo with his friends doing their special steps to music dressage. All Steps Formation Riding display team were appearing at Uffington White Horse show this weekend. Bilbo and his friends were on top form and gave a lovely display to impress the spectators.
There are a lot of videos and photos of us Munchkins on the page today, even me doing some energetic trotting with volunteer Isla! So do take a look. Our Lola, one of our mousers was looking very cosy in her hay nest, the best place to be in the wet windy bits of the day.🐈‍⬛
Here is a request for the person who ordered the chocolate brown ‘Horse Dad’ t- shirt from the 'Skewbie and Ewe' shop to check in with them on the post please, as the t-shirt has arrived but the order doesn’t have the delivery details on it. 😳 ( there are also some amazing new ‘bitty items’)
Have you seen the set of antique armchairs for sale? They would grace any home. Other buy it now offers are on the page too and more Pop up sales may well appear!
Mummy Munchkin has also posted a comparison of Munchkin costs and a standard livery stable, fascinating reading folks, and very expensive! If you have money you probably don’t have horses is what they say! ☺️
Well those are all the bits of news rounded up for you , I shall ‘trot off’ and return tomorrow with more, TTFN

Tim, Munchkins Head Reporter
