Hay folks Tim here with your soggy Saturday news roundup. Not an awful lot going on today at HQ due to the wet windy weather! But we have a presence at UpLyme Fayre this afternoon and despite the weather there are people arriving. No birthdays for Sunday and a heads up of a few no diary days coming up!
The weather has somewhat dampened everyone's enthusiasm for doing too much outside and the shelters and barns have become the places to be! Luckily all are well supplied with hay so we can fuel our inner heating systems whilst staying out of the worst of the weather. The younger members of the HQ herd are often heard asking if they can go out in the elements! They seem to like being horses and putting their tails into the wind and carrying on grazing! The Shetlands thick tail is specially adapted to wrap around their rear and keep the worst of the rain and wind at bay with the many layers of hair! Very clever design.
The report back from UpLyme Fayre is not as bad as it could have been although the weather did deter some people. The press wagon (horsebox) was put to good use today and volunteers and ponies were taken to the Fayre, Arthur and I had an afternoon out but it is nice to be back home at HQ! There are some photos on the page, soggy ponies don’t make for good grooming opportunities but we were both friendly towards the Fayre goers. Another fete tomorrow (Sunday) at Tytherleigh! Hoping for better weather.
My typist won't be available to write up the diary next weekend so we have agreed that as she has produced a diary a day for two years without a break a few days off might not be a bad idea! Hopefully everyone will return to our daily updates when they resume? Anyway just to let folks know! ☺️🐴❤️
Hopefully everyone has bid on our weekly auction and remember bidders need to pay by Tuesday morning at the very latest for posting out that week.
Well that is the news for Saturday folks, I shall return tomorrow with more, TTFN,
Tim, Munchkins Head Reporter
