A huge thank you to Sainsbury's for hosting our fantastic Rhyl & Prestatyn Fundraising Group for another successful collection on Thursday 18th June!

Every penny raised yesterday (total coming soon) will go to ensuring more people receive the care and support they need at the end of life.

and...all other collectors on the day and of course all of the generous shoppers for your kind donations!

Just a two-hour slot can raise around £85 — enough to fund nearly four hours of expert nursing care or five calls to our Support Line.

💛 Last month we celebrated an incredible £650,000 raised for Marie Curie across Newtown & Welshpool!

🎉 At Hafan Yr Afon we marked this amazing milestone together — your support made it a truly special day.

🏅 We honoured the incredible £300,000 raised by the Newtown Fundraising Group as they retire after years of dedication.

💪 In Welshpool, the team celebrated £350,000 and continue to go from strength to strength in their community.

Newtown Tesco collecting for Marie Curie Cymru.

This week, we celebrate and recognise the incredible dedication, compassion, and resilience of carers who provide invaluable support to loved ones every day.

At Marie Curie, we understand that caring for someone can be both rewarding and challenging. That’s why our Companion Service is here to help and support carers across North Wales. Our trained volunteers offer companionship, emotional support, and a listening ear, helping to reduce feelings of isolation and giving carers a little extra support when they need it most.

To all carers in our communities – thank you for everything you do. Your kindness and commitment make a real difference every day.

💚 Fundraising Convention London! 💚

Our Senior Community Fundraiser for Wales, Victoria Hardy had a fantastic time on Friday, when she attended the very last Fundraising Convention, run by The Chartered Institute of Fundraising.

Victoria said "I met so many inspiring people from across the fundraising sector, heard new ideas, and learnt from the experiences of others who are passionate about making a difference. I'm very much Iooking forward to taking these insights back to Wales and sharing them with my colleagues, so together we can continue to develop and improve what we do in Community Fundraising for Marie Curie - Wales"

A huge thank you to Ashleigh (Activity Coordinator) and Kate Roberts, one of Marie Curie Cymru’s fantastic Companion Volunteers, for organising such a brilliant fundraising event at Southern House Abergele 💛

We’re so grateful for all the effort that went into the day and for raising an amazing £104.27 to support Marie Curie - Wales’ vital work. Thank you also for sharing the beautiful pictures—it’s clear what a special and joyful day it was.
